Good afternoon and TGIF!
Today’s letter is light on words but heavy on photos because a picture’s worth a thousand fewer words I have to write.
Last night my mom and sisters hosted a truly delightful dinner party, attended by 8 out of the 10 siblings, their kids, a Jew, a brother’s girlfriend (trial by fire), and a Harvard-trained attorney.
The two absentees siblings—Deter and Elisha’s crew—are currently suspended from family activities due to an unfortunate lapse in judgment (i.e. eating at Chipotle last week). Pray for them. That they may experience true repentance.
Theme of the evening: Classy English countryside meets garden-fresh abundance and absolutely nothing that could be mistaken for an item from Walmart’s “Summer BBQ” aisle.
The dishes: Straight from the family gardens. July’s bounty in full glory. Think: bold flavors, nutrient density, and the Pinterest “summer dreams” board you made back in January.
