You asked, and I delivered.
After receiving numerous requests from eager Buttercups, I'm divulging the Running On Butter grocery haul. Below, you'll see a glorious array of life-giving, nutrient-dense foods that give power to a healthy and joyful life.
Thank you @SproutsFarmersMarket
Beef Roasts: One of life's greatest pleasures is a slow-cooked, tender roast. I believe with the utmost conviction that red meat should be a central feature of our diet. Its nutrient density is unmatched, and its flavor and texture cannot be replicated. Sorry, @ImpossibleBurger @BillGates.
Vital Farms Eggs: I've tried a variety of eggs, but none compare to Vital Farms' excellence. The yolk is arguably more golden than my sunkissed complexion. I do not want to live in a world without Vital Farms eggs (or tan skin, for that matter).
Basmati Rice: Okay, honestly, I'm a little confused about how this one made it into my grocery cart. I have nothing against basmati, and it's a fun word to say, but I'm not generally a rice guy. Maybe I'll make some tacos or something. Wait, I'll use one of the roasts to have a little Latina dinner moment. Vamos, señor!
Watermelon: Many people discount watermelon for being nutritionally void, but the truth is that watermelons are antioxidant powerhouses. Enough is enough. Give the melon community the nutritional awareness it deserves. ✊🏻
Cotton Candy Grapes: Duh.
Cherries: Also rich in unique, health-advancing flavonoid compounds.
Avocados: Your cardiologist loves this veggie/fruit (It's 2024. You decide if avocados are a fruit or veggie.) because they're made up of predominantly monosaturated fatty acids, aka "healthy fats." Monosaturated fats are indeed healthy, and so are saturated fats. Polyunsaturated fats, predominant in seed oils, are the troublemakers.
Limes: Will be used for taco night.
Pineapple: Be like a pineapple. Stand tall, wear a crown, and be sweet inside. - Hobby Lobby home decor signs. These queens are abundant in various vitamins and minerals.
Red grapes: So crisp, so delicious. Inhibit cancer cell proliferation. Love that.
Peaches: These reminded me of my new Georgia friends, Sarah Beth, Josh, and Grant. Y'all are so sweet.
Mangos: I don't use this phrase lightly, but mangos truly are a superfood. If only I could figure out how to peel and eat them.
Red Onions: Bold flavor and agents against cancer. Hard to beat, really.
Mascarpone Cheese: I was first introduced to mascarpone by watching Giada De Laurentiis on The Food Network. It is the smoothest, most creamy cheese you'll ever taste. Takes any pasta to another level. Thank you, Giada.
Cilantro: I think my sub-conscience was whispering Mexican flavors throughout the grocery store. Cilantro is the best garnish for any taco and has many medicinal benefits.
Coconut Water: Metaphorically, I'm living in paradise. Literally, I'm living in a desert, and I must stay hydrated.
Where are the treats?
More beef = 300 bench, 400 squat, 500 DL
